With my clients, my focus is to work in partnership to define goals and create action plans that produce measurable results. Our work is balanced, keeping business focused and under control to support a satisfying personal and family life. And we have fun together along the way!

Professional Background

My creative small business career started in a silkscreen and sign shop in 1975 and progressed through working in the fine paper, printing. publishing and software industries in North America and Britain. During thirty-two years of business experience I have held corporate and small business management positions in sales, marketing, business development and product development. Every step of the way I have worked with creative teams finding ways to successfully marry the desire to do great work with the need to earn a profit. Opportunities and my curiousity have led me to work in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, New Zealand and now France.

They are oriented to success, naturally curious, avoid boredom and are ready to learn and grow. They may be at a turning point in their business or personal lives, contemplating new markets, growing their businesses or simply wanting to stay on track – for themselves, their families and their employees.

Education and Affiliations

As an incurable life-long learner I believe in just-in-time learning to get the job done. After 30 years’ of real life small business experience I completed a Master of Business Administration with Distinction degree from Heriot-Watt University in 2002. Prior formal education includes: diplomas in Business Administration from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and Management Development and Information Technology Management from the University of Calgary.

Personal Notes

As a leader and coach I am passionate that a “healthy body = healthy mind” To keep this life balance I cycle, run and work in my brand new garden. After 20 years' in competitve cycling I'm now enjoying a slightly quieter life. My husband of 21 years is my partner in all things including outdoor pursuits and we share a great sense of adventure.

This sense of adventure has taken us to live, work and cycle in several countries where I have learned to appreciate diversity and have met strangers who became lifelong friends. The latest adventure is our new home on a hillside in the Dordogne region of France.
